Job Description:
The Aerodrome Operational Planning Director will ensure the strategic alignment of the Aerodrome Division in respectcapacity and performance monitoring, the upgrade and expansion of infrastructure, equipment, systems and installatiomeet air traffic demand within defined service levels. The candidate will coordinate with all pertinent stakeholders and
manage, in line with projected growth scenarios and infrastructure development programs and lead the airside/aerodrorelated digitalization and automation efforts.
Job Role:
• Lead the strategy development and execution for airside developments of the international airport, leveraging cutting edge technology, aligned with the overall airport strategic targets and development goals.
• Translate high level objectives into specific airport infrastructure projects and establish structure for infrastructurprojects relating to airside development.
• Oversee the development of the scope, deliverables, work plan, budget, feasibility assessment & evaluation, timiand other requirements for new initiatives in line with division outcomes and objectives.
• Deploy and manage project teams and ensure adequate resourcing, staffing, and performance management.
• Responsible for the preparation of operational forecasts for daily, weekly, and seasonal planning and operationalstatistics along with alignment and assurance with stakeholder’s tactical and strategic planning.
• Develop processes to ensure projects are delivered and resolve complex problems and provide solutions to the
business when required.
• Implement, operate and monitor the aerodrome’s capacity and operational performance system.
• Implement processes and strategic initiatives to achieve high operational efficiency and work with line owners to end-state processes and organizational models.
• Analyze discrepancies between projected and actual schedules and communicate barriers to the successful compof project milestones.
• Oversee areas of improvement and automation and engage with contractors, technology providers, service provivendors, and other external stakeholders in ensuring project delivery.
• Develop and present information, documents, and presentations for senior management to support infrastructurdevelopment, services, and business models to gain inputs from senior stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the Airport Planning team and liaise with and support departments and divisiacross the organization to enable project execution.
• Monitor internal assessments of business risk and ensure risk mitigation measures are in place.
• Establishing and managing the Aerodrome Division’s budget while developing the department’s activities (Opex/Ccoordinating procurement activities, inventory and manpower planning and recruitment activities for Aerodrome.
Preferred Requirements:
• Former Air Traffic Controller/Senior Airside Operations Role (airport with minimum size: 40M Passenger p.a. +)
• Airport Strategic Development and Project experience (airport with minimum size: 40M Passenger p.a. +)
• Airport Capacity and Performance monitoring experience
• Aerodrome Operations Center experience
• Leading role in the implementation of ACDM at an airport
• Instructor and Training track record (for transfer of knowledge)
• Regulatory Aerodrome/ATC Inspector experience
• Advanced knowledge in implementation of digital/automated and technical solutions at airports to support aerodrome operations.
Education:
Diploma is minimum, Bachelor and Master are preferred
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in related field.
