Firstaff is supporting a major government digital-transformation program and seeking senior-level architects and integration experts to deliver complex modernization and data initiatives. These long-term, tax-free expat assignments offer the opportunity to work with leading technologies, world-class partners, and a program of national significance.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Architect to lead a large-scale digital-transformation initiative. The role focuses on defining modernization strategy, designing enterprise-level applications, and integrating legacy and modern platforms across IBM and cloud environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead application-modernization roadmaps and architectural standards.
- Design scalable solutions using IBM middleware, APIs, and microservices.
- Ensure performance, security, and compliance across enterprise systems.
- Translate business needs into practical, high-impact technical designs.
- Guide and mentor development teams using DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Qualifications & Experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field; TOGAF or IBM certification preferred.
- 15+ years of IT experience with strong background in application architecture and modernization.
- Hands-on expertise with IBM WebSphere, Integration Bus, and enterprise middleware.
- Experience integrating legacy and cloud systems via REST, SOAP, or event-driven architectures.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
