Level 1 Support Engineer - NOC (Tax free & based in GCC)

Position Overview:

This position is Responsible for maintaining user and system uptime on the company’s end-to-end connectivity systems that is the source passenger internet connectivity for commercial airlines. NOC Engineer I will be responsible for improving system experiences through remote monitoring, maintenance, and problem identification activities, as well as growing and developing the organization’s perception with existing customers through exceptional customer service. The Level I engineers will act as the first line of defense for any identified or raised issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifying, documenting and troubleshooting network, systems, applications and cloud issues to resolution
• Incident and Problem Management for end-to-end connectivity systems
• Generating and maintaining technical documentation to support the development and/or improvement of Operational and Monitoring procedures and platform application/system testing.
• Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, networking equipment, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system, error and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs and tasks.
• Performing assigned daily, weekly and monthly operations maintenance duties.
• Operating system maintenance and customer support.
• Assists in knowledgebase management
• Investigate and document application, database and operating system related monitoring events.
• Performs Moves, Adds and Changes within the monitoring environments

• Work effectively with internal/external technical resources and customer-facing organizations to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently
• Follows prescribed processes for Incident, Change and Problem management
• Participates in On-Call rotation duty
• Cross Training Departmental Team Members
• Other duties as assigned by Team Leader/Operations Managers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or similar technical field of study; or 3 years of directly related equivalent experience with a high school diploma, General Education Development or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Three (3) Years of Experience of Network, Windows and Linux Server Monitoring and Administration in an Enterprise Environment
• Three (3) Years of Experience in monitoring a 24X7 environment
• Three (3) Years of Experience in systems monitoring and long term trending of SLA, performance and sizing metrics
• Experience developing, documenting and maintaining installation and configuration procedures.
• Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Very strong working knowledge of Network infrastructure, Microsoft Windows and Linux Systems and Servers (Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008, 2003, Windows 8/7/XP, RedHat, CentOS, Debian)
• Excellent documentation, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent training and mentorship skills.

• Excellent customer service skills
Additional Assets:
The candidate must have a wide variety of skills in the areas of Network, Windows and Linux
Server, and web-based application Monitoring, Maintenance and Support. The candidate must
also be capable of quickly becoming proficient with new network tools and applications.
