Manufacturing Director (TAX FREE)

Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operation of SAMI Aerospace. This role involves managing a team of engineer, technicians and production staff to ensure that manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective and produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies and plans to meet Aerospace division goals and objectives
  •  Manage the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of products to customers
  •  Oversee the design and development of new products and processes
  •  Ensure that manufacturing processes are safe and compliant with all relevant regulations and standards
  •  Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and procurement, to ensure that all necessary resources are available to support manufacturing operations
  •  Maintain and improve quality control processes to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations
  •  Manage budgets and resources to ensure that manufacturing operations are cost-effective and efficient
  •  Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders

Key Competencies & Skills:

  • Leadership: Director needs to be an effective leader who can motivate and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and production staff
  •  Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and operations, including lean manufacturing, quality control, and supply chain management
  •  Technical knowledge in engineering, aerospace materials, and aerospace systems
  •  Communication skills: able to communicate clearly and effectively with employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
  •  Problem-solving: able to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently, often under tight deadlines
  •  Strategic thinking: able to develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity
  •  Project management: able to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, often involving tight schedules and budgets
  •  Regulatory compliance: should have a thorough understanding of industry regulations and standards, and ensure that manufacturing processes are compliant with these requirements
  •  Continuous improvement: should be committed to continuous improvement, always looking for ways to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field

  • Preferred Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent

  • 10+ years’ experience in related role
