Our client is a prestigious United Arab Emirates (UAE) state-owned conglomerate that specializes in advanced technology and defense. Comprising 25 companies it offers a wide-ranging portfolio of military and civilian products, services, solutions, and cutting-edge technologies. We are looking for a Senior Category Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in managing procurement activities related to advanced technology and defense products, services, and solutions i.e. procurement strategy, negotiation, and vendor management will contribute to the Group’s mission of delivering cutting-edge technology and defense solutions to global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the Group’s objectives, focusing on advanced technology and defense categories.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring the selection of reputable partners who can meet quality and performance standards.
- Cost Optimization: Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers, securing favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
Experience & Education
- 5 plus years defence procurement experience
- 5 plus years strategic sourcing in defense
