Job Summary:
As the Aerospace Manufacturing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations of the Aerospace division. Your role involves managing a team of engineers, technicians, and production staff to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing processes in the aerospace industry.
Reporting Line: Operations VP
Division/Function: Aerospace
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies and plans to meet the goals and objectives of the Aerospace division.
- Manage the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Oversee the design and development of new aerospace products and processes.
- Ensure that manufacturing processes adhere to safety protocols and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and procurement, to ensure the availability of necessary resources to support manufacturing operations.
- Maintain and enhance quality control processes to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to optimize cost-efficiency and productivity in manufacturing operations.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders in the aerospace industry.

- Leadership: Demonstrate effective leadership to motivate and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and production staff in the aerospace field.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and operations, including lean manufacturing, quality control, and supply chain management within the aerospace industry.
- Technical knowledge in engineering, aerospace materials, and aerospace systems.
- Excellent communication skills to interact clearly and effectively with employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders in the aerospace sector.
- Proficient problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues promptly, often within tight deadlines.
- Strategic thinking capabilities to develop and implement strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity in manufacturing.
- Project management expertise to oversee complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, tight schedules, and budgets.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance within the industry, ensuring adherence to regulations and standards in manufacturing processes.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement, constantly seeking opportunities to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency within manufacturing.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Preferred Master’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in manufacturing or project management are desirable.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in a related role within the aerospace and defence industry, with a focus on manufacturing and operations.
