(TAX free) Material Planning Manager (Defense)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust material planning strategies aligned with production schedules and project timelines.
  • Lead the planning and scheduling of material requirements to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with procurement to manage supplier lead times, material availability, and cost optimization.
  • Analyze production forecasts and adjust material plans to mitigate risks related to shortages, excesses, or obsolescence.
  • Oversee multi-country supply chain activities, ensuring compliance with defense industry standards and regulations.
  • Partner with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels, improve turnover rates, and minimize holding costs.
  • Conduct regular cost simulations and scenario planning to support procurement decisions and budget adherence.
  • Utilize SAP and other ERP systems for accurate material planning, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material planning processes to enhance efficiency and operational agility.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder partnerships, including engineering, operations, and logistics teams.
  • Lead and mentor the material planning team, fostering a culture of performance excellence and professional development.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in material planning, supply chain management, or production planning, preferably within the defense, aerospace, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proven expertise in using SAP/HRMS platforms and other relevant ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in cost simulations and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-country material supply chains.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of defense industry compliance requirements and standards.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
